Situated on the outer perimeter of the Arts District community of Los Angeles, an existing metal scrap yard was converted into the newest location for Rolling Greens Nursery + Home; SoCal's premiere destination for unique home + garden. A new retail showroom and nursery greenhouse were created by utilizing 3 of the existing steel "shed" structures. The raw elements of the structure are exposed to celebrate the industrial nature of existing architecture while creating soft, humble gestures towards a modern design. The renovated structures sit within a 2 acre lot that is covered with decomposed granite, newly planted trees, and garden accessories...providing a quiet destination within the urban metropolis of Los Angeles; a diamond in the rough.
